Hello, I have just planted several new Helleborus (orientalis and royal heritage) directly under a deciduous tree as suggested. Several of them are already turning brown and dying. Here in Greensboro, NC we just ended about 4 years of drought and now have had something like 18 inches more rain fall than usual for July/August and 3 to 4 inches of rain fall more than we would usually get annually. Should these plants be ok come spring? or am I out of luck and need to wait until we dry out some??? Thanks.
