Astilbe and variegated loosestrife

One of my beds is moist and quite shady. I have a lot of beautiful astilbe; every different kind blooms at a different time. Last year, I discovered a variegated loosestrife. (The leaves are variegated -- the flowers are yellow.) Unlike purple loosestrife, it's not against the law in Michigan. This plant flourishes in the same conditions as astilbe. And the yellow flowers make a nice contrast to the astilbe's red, white, pink and purple.
