The problem with a situation like this is not much water will get under your deck. This will make it difficult for anything to grow. I have two suggestions. First, you can try planting Lamium (dead nettle) under the deck. I suspect the farther you get in from the edges the less likely it will take. Second, and this is my preference, mulch beneath the deck and plant evergreen trees or shrubs around the deck to hide the opening.
